Campaign Strategist & Producer
Change.org
Petitions are one of the most powerful tools for collective action — when millions of people sign their name to a cause, it forces institutions, corporations, and governments to pay attention.
At Change.org, the world's largest petition platform, I saw that power up close, where I led marketing and community organizing efforts behind two of the platform's most high-profile campaigns.
The first put me in direct contact with U.S. Senators responding to a petition started by Taylor Swift in support of the Equality Act — a bill that would ban discrimination based on sexual orientation in housing, education, and finances. Worked with Swift’s team to launch the petition alongside her music video for "You Need to Calm Down," closing it with a direct call to action: "Let's show our pride by demanding that, on a national level, our laws truly treat all of our citizens equally. Please sign my petition for Senate support of the Equality Act at Change.org.”
The cultural moment was massive, and the campaign’s momentum turned into real legislative pressure on the Senate.
The second campaign rallied over 695,000 people to demand that TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel platform, make meaningful safety updates to its product. It worked. Working with TripAdvisor, the platform implemented product changes and enhanced features focused on the experiences of assault survivors and the safety of all future travelers.
It was a reminder that marketing, when done with purpose, doesn't just build awareness — it builds movements.
